Intercooler Adapter Harness For Bosch PCA to Pierburg CWA100-2 Pump Upgrade (pump not included)

This harness is a plug-and-play harness to allow the older Bosch PCA pumps, like the very common 0-392-022-002 pump, to be easily replaced with the higher flow, more compact, lighter, higher durability Pierburg CWA100-2 brushless intercooler pumps.

Wiring:

2 pin male housing w male pins Jetronic / Minitimer connector on one end [vehicle/pump harness side]
4 pin male housing w female pins Aptiv connector [pump connection side]

Note - only wired for on off control. Speed control pin is empty so pump will run at full speed after short start up delay. If you want to run variable speed control you can run the PWM speed control signal to the additional pin location (not required).

Also note that the CWA100 pump flows significantly more than the Bosch PCA pump. In order to do so it also draws significantly more current (up to 10 amps vs under 5 amps) so you may need a higher rating fuse and make sure your wiring can accept the higher current.

Check your pump carefully. Multiple versions of the Pierburg CWA100 pumps exist. This adapter harness does NOT work with the 3 pin connector CWA100-3 pumps. And some other versions of the CWA100 may also have different connectors.

Also note that this harness is for use with the Bosch PCA pumps that use the Jetronic / Minitimer connector (sometimes incorrectly referred to as an EV1 connector). This harness is not for use with the Bosch 0-392-022-010 PCA pump that uses a different connector (see images).
