Do you have a MX5 MK2 or MK2.5 1998 - 2005, 1.6 or 1.8 with an intermittent non start problem?

More and more of the original MK2.5 TRW(ex Lucas) factory immobilisers, marked TRW 36AS and MK2 Lucas 19AS immobilisers are failing. It may begin with an uncharacteristic non start that does not recur for a month or more but is a sign that the immobiliser is starting to fail. Please make sure your immobiliser is marked DC69 67 5G2A/B, TRW 36AS for MK2.5 or GE4T/NC30 67 5G2 Lucas 19AS for MK2. I will require your ECU and keys because the new immobiliser will need to be programmed to these. I will test the compatibility/security function, so you will just need to fit these parts and no need to replace the ignition and locks.
