I'm letting a few of my best pieces go to a new homes lately... Here is one of them that you can be the caretaker of.., a 1928 USPC United States Playing Card Company original poker chip set with original cased box. Outstanding piece of American Gambling history. Not many of these boxed sets were made... and fewer still exist today. This one is in great condition. Chips are all in like new condition. They are 100+ years old. Case holds 1000 chips in two stacking racks, there are a few missing chips, see numbers below. This is how I found it. The set was ordered in 1928 from a department store Chicago. We didn't know what the BVB monogram represented because it did not say in the order USPC records but now we know that it stood for Benjamin V Becker, who was a prominent Lawyer in Chicago... until I found the case with name on the top, the BVB was a mystery.
