Probotector is an alternate title originally given to Contra games in Europe.

This classic is the original 'Run & Gun' arcade style shooter. This is also the game that originated the famous 'Konami Code'  (in this case giving you 30 extra lives).

Probotector is a modified version of the game 'Contra' It was released for the PAL region and France on December 28, 1990. This version redesigns the human protagonists and some of the enemy characters to give them a robotic appearance.[3][4][14] This was done to circumvent the BPjM's censorship laws in Germany, which prohibits the sales of violent video games to minors.
