Previous owner's gift note in black ink, otherwise internally clean, some spotting to preliminaries, endpapers and top edge of textblock, some rubbing to spine edges. Toning to slipcase, bumping and rubbing to edges and spine joints. Very good. Richard Avedon was an American fashion and portrait photographer. 'Observations' includes numerous portraits of famous people, including Picasso, Marilyn Monroe, and J. Robert Oppenheimer.
