Original 1903 Homestead Document from President Theodore Roosevelt’s Office
- We suspect, as with many of these procedural homestead records approved by the office of the President, that the two signatures of Theodore Roosevelt are actually Secretarial Signatures and not the President's signature. However, this is still an antique document from the office of President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt connected to the Homestead expansion of the United States of America.
- 16" wide x 10-1/2" tall, thicker weight of paper than is standard for today
- Has red embossed label seal, embossing goes through backside of paper
- United States General Land Office to secure homesteads to actual settlers on the public domain
- Through the register of the land office at Montgomery, Alabama
- May 19, 1903
