Edgar Awards - Original Raven Award & IMWF Angie Award - To Producer Zev Buffman.

This is a scarce collection of two awards from the estate of prominent Broadway Producer, Zev Buffman (Israeli, 1930 - 2020).

Zev Buffman received the "Raven Award" in 2010, an award given at the Edgar Allan Poe Awards to honor outstanding achievement in the Mystery field outside of the realm of creative writing. Buffman received the award in part for his contribution in helping to found the International Mystery Writers Festival (which ran for 5 years)  -  Unlike the vast number of Mystery Fiction Conferences, the IMWF took a unique approach by including authors and TV writers and producers, as well as playwrights. It was considered the place to launch new mystery plays. This lot includes the IMWF award that Zev Buffman received (we do not know the exact year) in addition to the 2010 Raven award. The IMWF award was also known as the "Angie award" after the actress, Angela Lansbury, who was also a supporter of the Festival.

The Raven award is ceramic with black paint and the dimensions are 8" tall with a 4 1/2" x 4 15/16" ceramic base.

The IMWF award is made of lucite and stands 12 1/4" tall, 5 3/4" wide and 1 7/8" deep.

This is an extremely rare opportunity to own two prestigious awards of this nature!
