Note on this item - A common reason for this part to be damaged is that the start relay fails in the closed (power on to capacitor) position. This capacitor is only supposed to be in the circuit for a fraction of a second and will burn out in just a few seconds if the relay does not take it out of the circuit. If your capacitor looks cooked, check your start relay. If the relay has failed in the closed position, it will burn up your new capacitor.
