ITEM DESCRIPTION:


In this listing we are presenting this excellent Antique Heirloom Patek Philippe Demi-Hunter Case 18K Solid Gold Pocket Watch originally presented in 1871.  It was made in an era when Patek Philippe was trying to establish itself as one of the premier watchmaking brands of the world through the excellence of their products.  There are few examples like it since it also comes in an original 18K yellow gold Demi-Hunter Case hallmarked with PP&Co inside the front cover and fully signed with Patek Philippe & Co Geneve on the dustcover.  The movement itself is finished in gilt which is consistent with an 1870’s Patek Philippe with the signature highly curved bridges.  It has very high end features such as wolf teeth winding wheels, counterpoised mustache lever fork and large solid gold screws on the balance wheel. 

Condition-wise the watch runs and sets normally, but we cannot guarantee any functional or mechanical elements as this is an antique timepiece over 100 years in age.  We recommend for any and all antique pocket watches to undergo service by a trusted watchmaker to extend its usage life.    Cosmetically the front cover of the demi-hunter case has some mild dings and dents when viewed from certain light angles.  There is a deep and sizable dent on the side of the case band toward the 7 o’clock position.  Other parts of the case band has some minor dings and dents as well.  The enamel Roman Numeral hour markers are nearly all intact except for 4 o’clock IIII where there is a slight bit of chipping.  The dial has no hairline or chip that we could see and the hands appear to be all original.  The outer cover observation crystal is glass and the inner crystal is plastic, both have some scratches on them.  Rest of the watch is in very good cosmetic shape for a watch over 150+ years old.  Diameter is 51mm, it is quite heavy weighing at 100.6 grams total.

We only accept payment made by eBay managed payment.  Buyers are welcomed to use all acceptable payment methods under eBay Managed Payment Platform including PayPal, Credit Cards, e-Checks, and more.  We will process shipping once funds are received and paid out from our seller managed payment account which usually takes 3-4 business days.


SHIPPING

For domestic shipping we only use FedEx. Shipping cost listed uses 2 days Express delivery. Overnight shipping will be available upon request.  For international sales outside of USA please inquire before making bids or purchase for shipping availability and cost to your country.

All items are required to include insurance in which the cost will depend on the ending value of the item. By nature of the transaction we reserve the right to declare full value on customs.  Buyer will also be required to provide positive feedback before the item ships. Please contact us before the auction ends so we can estimate international shipping cost.


RETURN

There is generally NO RETURNS for vintage or antique watches sold.  Only exception is that return can be requested if the item significantly deviate from the listing description and must be made within 2 days after receiving item. Any doubts must be addressed before the payment is made. We will not accept returns based on arguments that comes after the payment has been made. In case a return is agreed, buyer must return the item to us first before reimbursement is made. Reimbursement will not include original shipping cost and return shipping must also be paid by the buyer. Request for returns made on the basis of claiming items are NOT AS DESCRIBED will be subjected to a 15% restocking fee and no refund will be given to original shipping cost. Please note that we ALWAYS CLEARLY DESCRIBE our items and if it's our error then we will provide unconditional FULL REFUND.
