In his last novel before he died, Robin Maughm explores the reactions between two soldiers one German, One British after they survive a tank battle but find themselves stranded alone in the desert.

Like much of he fiction it is set out of England and preoccupied with the working class and homosexuality...it has customary polished techniques which will delight the many Robin Maugham admirers.
