BABETTE* San Francisco (the shuttered San Francisco-based designer brand) festive chartreuse crepe dress with short sleeves, Babette's signature crinkle pleat detailing, and an asymmetrical hem. Women's size XL, but more like a size 10-12 (see measurements below for best fit.)The pullover-style dress features a boat neckline and rectangular-pleated detailing at the upper body, which segues into tighter (though stretchy) vertical pleating at the bodice midriff of the dress, which segues into a flowing short skirt with an asymmetrical swath of fabric that drapes (almost drips) off of the left side--a graceful and lovely design touch.

Made of 100% polyester microfiber. Hand wash cold; lay flat to dry. Made in the U.S.A. The dress is in excellent pre-owned, vintage condition--showing little--if any wear. Another fine example of Babette's "art to wear."

*About Babette from Wikipedia: "Babette Pinsky is an American clothing designer known for creating Babette, a defunct line of upscale women's clothing produced and designed by Pinsky in Oakland, California and sold across the United States in department stores, boutique shops and an eponymous chain of Babette stores. Pinsky owned and managed the business in partnership with her husband, Steven Pinsky. They closed the business in 2016."

*About Babette from SF Gate 4/2008: "The core Babette customer is arty and well traveled, with an income sizable enough to afford a $260 top or a $450 coat. The forgiving nature of the fabric and the simple silhouettes of her pieces work on most frames. "You can walk into my dressing room and there will be a 6-foot-tall woman and little mini thing, and they can both wear the same outfit."
