Vintage Mad Men era jacket-skirt suit by Adelaar's Artistocrat. Vintage women's size 14, but more like a contemporary size 8 for the jacket and 4-6 for the skirt (waist is 26". See complete measurements below for best fit.) The 2-piece suit is made of a red with multi-color textured plaid tweed, all wool, or a wool blend (missing a fabric label.) The unlined jacket has a collarless, V-neck, 4-button-front with 3/4 sleeves (or more like 2/3 sleeves?,) and front pockets that go to the hem. The matching pencil skirt features a side zip closure with hook-eye, a kick pleat down the middle of the back and red fabric lining. Made in the U.S.A., sporting the Union label, which dates the suit from 1955-1963. Both pieces are in excellent pre-owned, vintage condition, showing little wear. Quite lovely.
