She is a beautiful hand carved wood native woman carrying her child, measuring 18 inches tall and about 9 inches wide. She is carrying two baskets, one in her hand, the other strapped on her waist. One hand, she is carrying a type of instrument?. I believe her earrings are a type of seed? hanging with a thin wire.  Her hair is real on her head and skirt.  (the skirt has old dead nits in the hair) I didn't notice any in the hair of both mother and the child's head.  Based on my research, it has significance for some native tribes.  I spent a while researching her as I knew she was special and worth the time.  I have attached some information in the photo gallery. Please see all of the photos as part of the description and condition. As I am not an expert.  In my opinion she should be in a museum.  I apologize my lighting is terrible. I tried taking photos in different areas of the house. She is darker than depicted in some of the photos.   I also included a photo of what I found on google Search.  I'm not confirming the tribe (only the significance of head lice to some tribes)  She has some signs of age including scuff marks, the child's hand on the back side looks like there might be some damage to the top of the fingers or paint has come off?.  The fabric around the child is a thick type linen?.  And there is multiple strings around her skirt.  Please feel free to ask questions or request additional photos.

She weighs 4lbs 10.3 oz.
