This auction is for an English Coalport, Sad Faced (Bassett) Hound Dog, Sitting.  Figurine is in a white gloss finish, think its a Basset Hound but definitely a hound.  Not been able to confirm the date but am guessing c 1980.

 

He is ~ 75 mm tall.
