Ultimate classic rock outfit Deep Purple are back with a new album whose title '=1', we're told via a press release, "symbolises the idea that in a world growing ever more complex, everything eventually simplifies down to a single, unified essence. Everything equals one." It is the 23rd of the band's career and their first since 2021's Turning to Crime. Bob Ezrin produced it and this is the first album from the group to have Simon McBride on guitar after he only joined the band in 2022.
