Cow Parade Westland Giftware 2000 "ANGELCOW" Retired 06' Resin Cow Art Replica.  Found at a local sale.

If not familiar with the Cow Parade figurines, it is an interesting story.

Since 1998 when the first event was held, it has become the largest & most successful Art event in the world.

Each cow figurine is an EXACT replica of a life-sized, fiberglass cow created as part of a Cow Parade event held in major cities around the world.

This "Angelcow" was created in New York City in 2000.

There are over 500 figurines in the collection & they have become among the top collectibles over the years.

The life-sized cows are placed around the city on exhibit. Both amateur & professional artists participate in the art shows. Each cow is decorated in a fashion that mirrors the principle local theme of the host city. After the event the life-size cows are sold for charitable profits.

Cow Parade figurines are produced by West Giftware to precise standards, & are an exact replica of the original cow statue in miniature. Made from resin.

The "Angelcow" was Retired in 2006

She is beautifully decorated BUT upon close examination her horn (one of them) has been broken off. Please see pics.

She even has hairlike eyelashes.

A lovely piece for your collection if you do not mind her flaw, or are so fascinated with her beauty that you do not even notice the flaw.
