These rare antique (Art Noveau 1895-1910) 14K yellow gold opal earrings are called “Day To Night Earrings” because they can be worn just with the opal studs (Day) or with the opal bodies set in a 14K flower (Night). With a total of 2.28 grams (the opal studs weigh 0.63 grams with just the opal bodies. The larger part weighs 1.65 grams). Not scrap just $75/grams. Two pairs in one! Unusual!

Nice fire to the opals. The studs measure about 1/4”. With the attached opal flower bodies they measure about 7/8” (by 3/8” wide). See photos.

Hard to find Day Night earrings and these are in very good, if not excellent shape. From my wife’s personal collection she never found the time to wear them much while she was working and has now retired.
