This small quarto book was printed on hand-made paper with 185 copies. The author provides a description on prints depicting American Revolutionary War leaders included in publications appearing largely between the period of 1780-1800. The prints presented in the text were copies of the originals prepared through photogravure and protected by tissue paper. The book has 100pp including an index and has many references to early published sources of such prints. This copy is reported as defective , presumably by the publisher, as it is missing 4 of the 18 plates. the book is in good condition otherwise except as noted above.
