Up for sale is an Original Animation Cel Directed by Rankin/Bass Productions in connection with Videocraft International: for the Red Baron Cartoon. This series originally aired as a ABC Saturday Superstar Movie in 1972. This a two page hand painted animation cel. This cel is production used and not a Sericel. The top cel is stapled to the bottom cel. Cel may not be perfect - there may be blemishes or debris on it. The background shown is a printed reproduction. I took a screenshot of the original scene and edited the characters out so it could be as close to the original as possible. Because it's a screenshot the background is not perfect, or crisp it's almost looks like a watercolor background. The 2nd photo is a screenshot of the original scene in the Movie. In this scene one of the main characters finds the missing lady and is pushing her "love" back. In the original scene the background had a railing that partially covered the characters. I haven't seen any other production art come up for sale for this cartoon. Item is used and comes as shown with Matte from a smoke free home. The Matte is from the late 80's and you may want to replace it if you choose. All pictures are of actual item for sale. This has been part of my family's collection since the late 80's to early 90's. This Animation Cel was originally purchased from Darrow's Fun Antiques in Manhattan, New York. You can actually see footage of some of the Animation Cels they use to have in their store on the wall in a Youtube Video.
