Up for sale is an Original Animation Cel Directed by Rankin/Bass Productions in connection with Videocraft International: for the Red Baron Cartoon. This series originally aired as a ABC Saturday Superstar Movie in 1972. This a 4 page hand painted animation cel. The Cels are stapled together. This cel is production used and not a Sericel. The 2nd photo shown is a screenshot of the original scene. In this scene the Girl Dog who is a robot is talking about the characters in the background. The background shown is a printed reproduction. I took a screenshot of the original scene and edited the characters out so it could be as close to the original as possible. Because it's a screenshot the background is not perfect, not crisp and almost looks like a watercolor background. The way they created the background there was a table that covered part of 2 character's bodies. I haven't seen any other production art come up for sale for this cartoon. The Cel itself may have debris or imperfections to it. Item is used and comes as shown with Matte from a smoke free home. The Matte is from the late 80's and you may want to replace it if you choose. This has been part of my family's collection since the late 80's to early 90's. This Animation Cel was originally purchased from Darrow's Fun Antiques in Manhattan, New York. You can actually see footage of some of the Animation Cels they use to have in their store on the wall in a Youtube Video.
