Offered here is a spectacular and ultra-rare University of Virginia game worn college basketball jersey acquired from the family of Lemuel Mayo, Captain of the UVA team from 1930-1932. The uniform has fantastic visual appeal. The body is cream colored wool with blue and orange "Virginia" letters sewn on the front and Mayo's player number 10 sewn on the back. There is some moth damage and color bleeding as shown in the photos. The jersey measures about 14.25 inches wide at the armpit areas. Overall, this an incredible relic from a premier program. UVA won the national championship two years ago and is one of the most historic programs in the history of intercollegiate basketball.
