Vinyl plays with occasional crackles (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges, light-scuffing and surface impressions (front/back); small surface abrasion on back near top center. Inner-sleeve is original (lyrics/West albums). Spine is easy-to-read with mild wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is soft with signs of use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)

Wild West, by Dottie West, marks a significant point in her commercial resurgence during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The album, recorded in June 1980 at Nashville’s Creative Workshop Studio and produced by Randy Goodrum and Brent Maher, blends country with pop, R&B, and MOR influences, showcasing West’s versatility. It reached the top five on the US country albums chart and received favorable reviews for its crossover appeal. The album spawned three hit singles: Are You Happy Baby, which became West’s fourth No. 1 on the US Hot Country Songs chart; What Are We Doin’ in Love, a chart-topping duet with Kenny Rogers that also hit No. 14 on the US Hot 100; and (I’m Gonna) Put You Back on the Rack, which peaked at No. 16 on the US country chart. Historically, Wild West underscores West’s role in elevating female country artists’ prominence and her successful shift toward a pop-influenced country sound, bolstered by her collaboration with Rogers and innovative production.
