Up for sale rare 1949 wonderful two bound volumes of 48 issues of original newspapers for The Sporting News, The Baseball paper of the world. The newspapers were issued between January  to December 1949 App 48 Issues but not in chronological order. it might not contains every single issue during this period and some are missing few pages. It was published in St. Louis, Missouri by editor and publisher Alfred Spink and became known as" The Bible Of Baseball".

The volume contains photos, headlines, ads and leagues . The volume is in good plus condition for the age, with tight binding, clean page, minor wrinkles, minor tears, small wear, minor chipping, tone page related to age, minimal pencil tracing and minor soiled throughout.

Some small ads at few newspapers issues have been cut and removed by the previous owner, also there is bookseller sticker at the pastedown of each volume.Some issue might be missing one or two pages .

The covers have light edge wear.
