We had a gemologist look at it and they said indeed not jade, but hardstone and quartz. Handed down from my father's family who traveled in Asia and brought back many beautiful works of art from 1930's - 60's.

We have many items handed down 5 generations from my San Francisco family. My mother had her M. Stoney Antiques store on Taraval Street in San Francisco, in the mid 70's. Some of those items passed down to us. My father's family traveled to Asia and Europe in the 1930's thru 50's and brought back many treasures we have inherited. Jewelry and art from Italy.
