Paul Wunderlich (1927-2010) was a German artist best known for his Surrealist paintings and erotic sculptures. His earliest work reflected Germany's oppressive history during WWII, before he shifted towards Surrealism, featuring erotic work and fantastical, floating images. This piece, "Tette de Femme" or woman's head is a classic example of his post-war work; the Surrealist floating portrait with abstract, fantastical imagery and the bright yellow color create an interesting abstract composition. This unique piece adds a pop of color and a conversation to any space.
