A hard to find poster by Theo Dimson for a 1978 production of Esmeralda And The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
The play was directed by George Luscombe, and produced by the Toronto Workshop Productions Company in Toronto, Ontario. TWP was one of the first important alternative and experimental theatre troupes in Canada, founded by George Luscombe in 1959. Poster is signed by the artist.
The original framing was done in Canada with a framing process called "Mount 'N Seal" — in which the poster is
shrink wrapped against a foam board/cardboard backing. I removed the shrink wrap,
but left the backing on the poster. The poster has been either taped or
glued in several spots (not fused to the foam board) and looks like it will be possible to remove it
from the backing but I decided to leave it as is.
