This listing is for a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) ONLY!!

PCB is 13.95 inches x 3.975 inches
FR4 material, 2 oz. copper, 0.0625 (1/16") inches thick

Full details and building construction may be found on Beezar Audio's documentation website for the Torpedo I Parafeed Headphone Amplifier or at the Head-Fi.org forum in the Beezar Torpedo Build Thread.

** Note: The PCB is designed to fit into the slots of a Context Engineering "split body" enclosure, Part #4012H-6B or -6N, depending on black anodized (6B) or natural aluminum (6N).  The extrusion case must be ordered with a custom extrusion length of 14 inches.  If that is done, the PCB fits perfectly within the slots of the case and the various connectors line up perfectly with the end plates.  **

The Torpedo 1 uses a unique aspect ratio planform that gives it its "Torpedo" look. The long case provides distance between the power and output transformers (may be ordered from Edcor USA), minimizing any flux interactions that could cause noise.

NOTE: The last two photos show a populated PCB (parts not included) in the Context Engineering case bottom (not included).

The Torpedo 1 is a parafeed tube circuit, designed to utilize the ubiquitous and truly inexpensive 6J6 tubes. In the same family of tubes as the 19J6 used on the famous Starving Student Millett Hybrid, the leading numbers in the tube designation indicates heater voltage, e.g. "19" for 19V heater voltage and "6" for 6 volt heater voltage. Otherwise, the tubes are identical. Many other tubes will work in addition to the 6J6 as well such as the E90CC tubes mentioned below. Refer to your favorite tube compatibility resource for other tubes to try.

NOTE: Unlike the Starving Student Millett Hybrid, this PCB design utilizes the full voltage operating conditions for the 6J6 tube - approaching 250-300V inside the amplifier.

The STEALTH Torpedo 1 performs outstandingly with Grado headphones of all types, Sennheiser HD800, HD650/600/580's, AKG K701/Q701's, etc., Etymotic ER-4P/S/T's, Sony MDR-V6's, Sennheiser HD25-1 II's, and many other quality headphones.

**** Please check out my sales listing, here on Ebay, for a completely constructed and operational Torpedo headphone amplifer! ****

WARNING!!
This PCB uses an amplifier design that is a true tube amplifier and runs at typical legacy audio tube voltages. Voltages exceed 250V inside the amp. Neither Beezar LLC and its subsidiary, Beezar.com, are responsible for improper construction or operation of this amplifier design. Instructions for the correct and safe way to build and/or operate this amplifier are shown on the DIYForums.org website or the Head-Fi.org thread referenced above.  The best thing to remember is never change tubes or access the inside of the amplifier with it plugged in and do not operate this amplifier without properly shielded and grounded casework.
