Have you ever wondered what metal the Liberty Bell is made of? What material any "real" bell is made of? Usually BRASS. And why is that material used? Because it "rings"! Because its perfect for converting mechanical energy into acoustic energy. That's why many professional guitarists use brass guitar nuts.  It has a noticeable improvement on sustain and tone. A huge improvement over the cheapo stock plastic nuts supplied with most guitars.

Plastic guitar nuts are notorious for slipping within the neck slot. Glue shrinks as it ages and loses it's grip. And the nut MUST be locked in the neck slot or the result will be unstable tuning, broken strings, etc. Our series of v-shaped grooves in the bottom of the nut, grab the neck slot and hold on tight. The Nut to Neck connection is tighter, tone transfer is greater.

Our flat-bottom nut is hand ground and sanded from solid brass and round-slotted for perfect string placement. Then we file the v-shaped gripper slots in the bottom. All hand-made - no machines. Very attractive brushed surface finish. Fits any Fender style electric guitar and many others - 1/8" thick, 3/16" tall, 1 11/16" long.
