Extension tubes are used for close-up photography (macrophotography) together with a 50mm standard lens or similar. They can be mounted singularly or in combination with each other between the lens and camera body, thereby increasing the distance between the two and thus allowing closer focusing and a higher magnification ratio (above 1:1 life-size). Supplied with their original box. COMPATIBILITY These Pentax/Praktica (Universal) M42 screw mount tubes can be used with most DIGITAL SLR/CSC cameras from Canon EOS, Olympus/Panasonic 4/3 and Micro 4/3, Pentax PK, Sony/Minolta A, Samsung NX, Sony NEX, Nikon 1 (not for Nikon F mount unless you use an mount adapter containing a glass element ro reach infinity) and the Fujifilm Fuji X-Pro1, X-E1, X-M1, XT-1, XT-2 etc. When M42 lenses are used on digital SLR/CSC some limitations will always apply, i.e manual exposure and manual focus. Mount adapters are readily and cheaply available from other ebay sellers. M42 lenses are also compatible with the 35mm SLR M42 screw mount cameras of yesterday including the Asahi Pentax SV, S1, Spotmatic, SP500/1000, SPII, Spotmatic-F and ES/ESII and also various Contax, Fujica, Zenith, Practica and Yashica SLRs.
