The press release read: "If you're still hungry after The Dinner Party, try Maria Manhattan's 

The Box Lunch, a major art event honoring 39 women of dubious distinction." 

"The Box Lunch" ran from November 14-December 21 1980 at 70 Wooster Street

in downtown New York City, and was an outrageous parody of Judy Chicago's groundbreaking

feminist artistic statement "The Dinner Party".

The women honored in The Box Lunch were not Judy Chicago's grande dames (Emily Dickinson,
Virginia Woolf, Georgia O'Keeffe, etc.) but included pop culture figures such as Lucy Ricardo and 

Betty Crocker.

This poster is in great condition and is numbered (22/200) and dated and signed by Maria Manhattan.
