This bone china tea trio was made by Aynsley. The body of all pieces features a swirled exterior or upper surface, and the handle on the cup is ear-shaped. I think the Aynsley pattern is Simplicity, but there's no gold line trim on any of the pieces. It's likely that these pieces were considered to be seconds quality, so not finished with the gold line trim. The trio you receive may have slight flaws in the glaze or in the body of china. All pieces are perfectly functional.
The tea cup is 7 cm (2.75 inches) tall, 8.5 cm (3.35 inches) in diameter across the mouth, and holds 200 ml (7 fluid ounces);
the saucer is 14 cm (5.5 inches) in diameter; and
the side plate is 16 cm (6.5 inches) in diameter.
The three pieces together weigh 420 grams before packaging.
All pieces are in excellent previously owned with no chips, cracks or crazing, and no visible surface wear.
