Please make sure your fuel tank has an internal thread with 1/4 lock tap, as well as a slot in the tank on the side for the tether, before code date 16100300. B&S engines have two or three caps for the same model but different year.

Adding the old O ring gasket or 1 1/2" gasket or wide rubber band to the new gasket will make the gas cap tighter.
