The 42 inch collasible gentle snake tong is a great tool for the snake breeder, keeper, and field herper! Make of aluminum, the tong is easy to handle but very durable. The modern design of the handle make it very comfortable to use and the stainless steel wire allows for smooth operation.
The Gentle tong is different from the standard tong with the design of the tong head. The Gentle version has large 2 ¼” wide jaws which allow for the force and compression to be dispersed over a larger surface area of the snake’s body. The upper jaw is also has a PVC coating to reduces pinching and injury. All of this combines to reduce stress on the animal, allowing the animal and handler to be more relaxed.
The collapsible version can breakdown into half the assembled length, which makes it great for travel and storage. Get the extra length without sacrificing space when not in use. Assembles quickly, just slide the two half together and screw in the trigger and you’re ready to go!
