SO BEAUTIFUL RARE VINTAGE GUIDO ANDLOVITZ VERBANO DISH, MILANO SAN SATIRO CHURCH

Very Good!  Circa 1955.

Ideal gift for special occasions or collectors. No original packaging (Stand is not included). No breaks, no repairs, no fissure lines, no picks. This is a very high quality porcelain, the dish looks like new despite being over 70 years old. It is a design of Guido Andlovitz. 'Verbano' is recognized as one of the most important producers of porcelain, in Italy & the world. It comes from the heritage of a family member.

In 1925, after an agreement with the German company Rosenthal, the Verbano factory was built for the production of table porcelain and others, giving a very important boost to the already renowned Laveno porcelain, which included Guido among its famous designers. Andlovitz. From there, a history of high-quality porcelain production begins, which is still ongoing.

GUIDO ANDLOVITZ (1900-1971). Born in Trieste on March 7, 1900, in 1923 he began to collaborate, as an artistic consultant, with the Italian Ceramic Society (SCI) of Laveno Mombello. Four years later he obtained the title of production manager of the same company, with the task of updating and diversifying its production of earthenware and porcelain. With the models he created, the Laveno factory participated with increasing success in all editions of the Monza Biennale of Decorative Arts and the Milan Triennials. His works, in the interwar years, denote a keen understanding of what was happening in the cultural environments of his time, opening a kind of professional rivalry full of fruits and consequences for Italian design with Gio Ponti, inspiration of the production. by the Florentine Richard-Ginori.
