You are bidding on a very nice copy of MARY LOU/LAY ME DOWN IN CAROLINE by LOU GOLD & HIS ORCHESTRA (BILLY JONES Vocal)/SAM LANIN & HIS ORCHESTRA (JERRY UNDERHILL Vocal) on Puritan 11477.  VG+.  Shipping is $6.50 for media mail to U.S. destinations.  International buyer pays actual costs for a 13"x13"x4" small package, weighing 1 pound,15 ounces.  Insurance is definitely recommended for 78s.  Tracking is included.  Record will be placed between two rigid pieces of cardboard and then bubble wrapped before being "floated" in the larger outside box.  All older 78s contain small scratches and smudges, most of which do not affect the quality of playback.  You can expect some snap, crackle and pop when you play these older records.  These records are play tested on my Stanton STR8-80 professional turntable.  Small edge chips will usually not affect playback if you are careful to avoid starting the record too close to the edge.  I try to clean all records before shipping them.  There may be stickers, tears or owner's names on the labels so look at the photos carefully before buying an item.  Thanks for looking and see my other auctions by clicking on the blue store logo at the top left and then click on records as a category.  I have 100s more to list and will be doing some almost every day.  Rufus is getting old and it is time to break up the collection!  All reasonable offers will be considered and combined shipping will save you some money too.  You must understand, it is not easy to safely ship shellac 78rpm records.  You must insulate them as much as possible from getting crunched as you would not want to put two or more surfaces together without something between them to keep them from getting scratched or broken during transit.  I use professional cardboard between individual discs and then make a sandwich topped off with bubble wrap, then float it in a larger cardboard container with crumpled newspaper to prevent it from moving within the box.  Good hunting!
