The rare 1961 card has some light wear and has been punctured by three staples.  There are no stains on the back of the card.  The card measures roughly 4" x 3.25".  Please review the pictures to assist with the condition and content of the card.

The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company.  The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945.  Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500.  These cards were produced as part of the packaging for their products.

This unnumbered card of the 10-card set features Len Sutton, who was from Oregon.  Sutton would start the Indianapolis 500 seven times with a best finish of 2nd in the 1962 race.  Sutton ran 74 races on the Championship Indy car circuit with three victories to include Milwaukee and Trenton.  He is a member of the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame.

Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past.  I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost.  Thanks!
