Vintage MCM Mare and Foal ceramic SINGLE piece bookend. Handpainted in a glossy black glaze and  trimmed with gold accents.  Some of the gold trim has worn off in spots from age and use. Green felted bottom.  Tiny chip off corner on underside.  Only visible when turned over.  No other flaws. Believe this is a redware ceramic piece from the 1950's as chipped corner reveals the red clay composed material underneath. Had a JAPAN paper sticker on at one time but has since fell off. Measures 5 1/2" long  5" tall and 2 1/4" wide.  A nice decorative vintage piece.  View closeup of all photos for the best detail and condition.  Perfect for Equestrian fans or anyone wanting to add a unique accent piece to their shelf desk bookcase or mantel.
