Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui AU-555A amplifier.  This is not for the regular AU-555, that kit is here This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui AU-555A, and includes the correct size replacement chassis-mount capacitors, replacements for a number of transistors, and parts to do several modifications to the amplifier board for improved sound.  This does not include replacement driver or output transistors.  Correct replacement output transistors are MJ21196G (replaces 2SC1030), available here.

This kit includes replacements for all electrolytic capacitors in the amplifier, including the four chassis-mount capacitors, which are upgraded to one 3300 uf 100v Epcos cap, one 1500 uf 100v Epcos cap, and two 1000 uf 80v Nichicon caps.  The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly.  The kit also includes replacements for most of the transistors on the boards.  Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you're doing a rebuild.

These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment.  Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, Nichicon KL, Panasonic FC, Wima film, two Epcos, and two Nichicon GU.  Transistors and diodes are Fairchild/Onsemi and Diodes Incorporated.

I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with 40W, 60W, 75W, or 100W incandescent bulb.
