Making your own whimsical backpack has never been so easy! Whip this one up in no time and make a few extra for friends while you're at it. When the compliments start pouring in you can nonchalantly reply, “It was a breeze!”

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

Outside of backsack, 1/2 yard
Lining & outside pocket, 1/2 yard
Inside pockets & outside pocket flap, 1/2 yard
Straps, 1/3 yard of fabric, OR 4 yards of 1" wide grosgrain ribbon
Ribbon for loops, 1" wide grosgrain, 1 yard Velcro, about 5/8" wide,
Sew-on, 7" long Decorative button, if desired

If quilting your backsack, you will also need:
Lightweight batting scrap, 18" x 50"
Muslin or scrap backing, 3/4 yard (or 18" x 50")
