This beautiful vintage gibson chet atkins was an earlier model with "CustomShopEdition" stamped on the back of the headstock and the serial number is "alphabet + 3 digits".
It has a desirable narrow neck (nut width approximately 46mm, with an rosewood fingerboard , it shows some normal wear and tear over all , one deeper scratch on the top , mild surface scratches and dings , buckle rash , normal play wear on the neck, no visible checking as seen in other earlier 1982 models show due to aging , it shows normal dings , dents due to player use over the years , mild fret wear , some wear on the fretboard but nothing that affects the playing , original electronics, original nut , saddle , tuners , back plate , all original from what can be seen , this one is harder to find even in this condition, its definitely an earlier custom shop model from 1981 made in Kalamazoo , MI , the old gibson shop location .
