MYOTT, SON & Co. STAFFORDSHIRE Art Deco Style "Birdette" Flat Cup & Saucer Set. Pattern Description: Yellow, White & Black, Bird in Center, Smooth Edge. Made in England. Discontinued. Measurements: Cup is 2-3/8" Height x 3-7/8" Width x 4-1/2" Length (at Handle); the Saucer is 5-7/8" in Width. Maker's Marks: The saucer has a common Myott mark from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods displaying the famous Myott Gold Crown, stating "MYOTT, SON & Co. - ENGLAND." Note this version reads ENGLAND only beneath the Myott corporate name. This mark was used from ca. 1910 until 1942. However, the cup has a red Crown Crest with gold stripe decal mark, with 'MYOTT' above and 'STAFFORDSHIRE-ENGLAND' below. This mark began use around 1930.
