New Convertible Top Lift Cylinder for 1946-1952 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Hydraulic Top Cylinder - NEW! USA!! Convertibles. This cylinder will fit either the driver or the passenger side. These cylinders feature a threaded, chrome plated shaft, and all of the proper fittings for attaching the cylinders to the ORIGINAL tubing. These cylinders require a threaded yoke for attaching the cylinders to the convertible top frame. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP YOKE IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS CYLINDER, AND IS SOLD SEPERATELY. You may use your original yokes on our cylinders if the threads on your yokes are in good condition!
ALL CONVERTIBLE TOP LIFT CYLINDERS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL! Late 1940's and early 1950's Convertibles often had original cylinders with an extended length that is longer than necessary to lift the convertible top to meet the windshield ("overstroked" cylinders). We have found (as have many of our customers) that if you leave your finger on the convertible top switch after the front bow of the top has reached the windshield on a car with overstroked cylinders, the cylinders rods can (and often do) bend or even damage the windshield frame! At Convertible Service, we fix the "overstroking" issue by manufacturing cylinders that are just the right length to lift your top into the proper position.

This brand new Convertible Top Lift Cylinder has a 5 year warranty when used with transmission fluid or dot 3 brake fluid.
