What is LEGO Dimensions?

To put it simply, A really fun game for both kids and adults with loads of levels and content. See LEGOs official description for more general info. 

What do I need to get started?

An internet connection and a complete Starter Pack or parts of a Starter Pack for your specific gaming system. 

*A LEGO Dimensions game disc for a PS3, PS4, WiiU, Xbox 360 or Xbox One.

*A portal base toy pad for your specific gaming system. Compatible system can be found written on the back of the toy pad. PS3, PS4 & WiiU all use the same toy pad. Xbox 360 needs an Xbox 360 toy pad. Xbox One needs an Xbox One toy pad. 

*Three character toy tags, Gandalf, Batman & Wyldstyle. One plain blue or gold vehicle toy tag for the Batmobile. 

Do I need the pieces & minifigures?

You don’t need the pieces for the portal and vehicle builds or the minifigures. All the character information is on the toy tags.

What’s a toy tag?

There are two types of toy tag. A printed character toy tag and a plain blue or gold vehicle toy tag. All tags work on all listed gaming systems.

*Character tag will give you access to the character, the vehicle that belongs to that character and the world that the character belongs to. eg. The Starter Pack characters give access to Lord of the Rings World, DC Comics World and LEGO Movie World. If would like to rock it through time in Back To The Future World you will need either Marty McFly or Doc Brown. Character tags can not be programmed with another character. 

*Plain blue or gold toy tags are for the vehicles. These tags are rewritable, you can turn your Batmobile into a DeLorean by reprogramming it in-game. 

What’s the difference between a Fun Pack, Team Pack, Level Pack and a Story Pack? 

*Fun Pack is a single character and vehicle. You get access to their world. 

*Team Pack is two characters and their vehicles. You get access to their world. 

*Level Pack gives you access to the characters vehicle, world and a new level to play. 

*Story Pack gives you access to the characters vehicle, world and a whole new story full of levels to play. 

Will LEGO Dimensions work on newer machines?

Sadly no. 

Why are some characters so expensive and or hard to find to buy?

LEGO don’t make this game anymore.
