A SET OF 6 UNOPENED COASTERS FROM THE EL GRECO MUSEUM IN TOLEDO, SPAIN!

THE GREEK,  as he was known is best known for at least 60 works.  He tortuously elongated figures and often used fantastic pigmentation.  He may have had a vision issue contributing to the elongated figures.

His work was disdained for centuries until the late 1800s.  Some now regard him as being centuries ahead of his time.

Six of his works are on these coasters.  View of Toledo, burial of the Count of Orgaz, the exploitation of Christ, La Sagrada Familia and 2 others.

Purchased 2018 in Toledo, Spain at the El Greco Museum.
