Salep is a traditional hot beverage popular in Turkey and the Middle East.
Salep is derived from the tubers of orchids, primarily the Orchis and Ophrys genera.
These orchids are commonly found in the Mediterranean region, including countries like Turkey & Greece.
Preperation:
Dissolve the content of the bag well in 140ml of milk and boil while stirring until it swells.
You may also boil it with water. For more intense scent you may enrich it with flavourings, such as more cinnamon, nutmeg or Chios Mastiha powder or ginger.
After the drink is ready, you may add orange scrap.
