Printed in Switzerland in an unnumbered limited edition by Roto-Sadag in Geneva on December 30th,1947, a 1st edition Swiss portfolio of Matisse lithograph prints from The Treasures of The French Painting Collection directed and presented by Albert Skira, in glassine dust jacket. With an important memorable essay in French language by Louis Aragon titled " Matisse : Apologie Du Luxe ".

The lithograph print plates measure 8 1/2" W X 10" H, on pages that are 11" W X 14 7/8" H. The prints are attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand on the left edge. Behind the print plate on the page is the title, date and size of the original artwork.
