Starting at the shoulders, the shoulder caps feature a molded HD foam with a square-shaped contour designed to provide optimum protection against impact. This is paired with a fully segmented square-shaped contour on the shoulder floaters with a Velcro adjustment; this is designed to provide maximum coverage with a customizable fit to allow for optimum comfort at the shoulders and movement of the mask.
Moving to the chest, CCM has made several improvements over the original Axis line to provide even better fit and protection. The sternum and clavicle features molded D3O foam to offer maximum impact protection, this is found deeper into the clavicle than on previous models. Throughout the chest you will find a Vent-Tech D3O core shield, which consists of a ventilated comfort foam combined with D3O to greater moisture management, comfort and protection from puck drop to the final buzzer.
Around the ribs a multi-segmented molded foam offers protection and mobility from straight shots as well as play off the posts. An all new Adeptflex design in the belly flexes and extends for constant coverage while adapting to your every move to offer form fitting protection and comfort
The arms of the Axis 2 will feature a molded, squared-off design at the biceps with HD foam to offer maximum coverage and protection, while the molded HD foam will be rounded off in the forearm for a close fit and better mobility. An independently adjustable elbow protector allows for a fully adjustable fit with enhanced mobility in the arm.
