A & J Young, Gresham Pottery, Norfolk, Stoneware Pottery jug, c1985.

A beautiful and stylish traditional stoneware jug with partial salt glaze demonstrating  both Andrew and Joanna's inspiration from earlier Doulton Lambeth wares of the 19th Century.

This is a stunning and beautifully proportioned jug in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. There is one very tiny firing fault on the beak of the jug, it's a flea bite and not noticeable. The makers mark is clearly impressed on the front of the body of the jug giving it a slightly contemporary feel.

A lovely example for the collector. Their work is highly acclaimed and sort after and is curated in numerous museums including the V & A.
