Customer should scrape the gib to fit with his lathe tool slide. On the last photo you can see scraper and positioning table for gib. Our workers use it to do scraping work. Customer also can use grinding machine to do same work. But final scraping work is needed to make the gib fit with tool slide perfectly. 

And the gib is usually longer than tool slide. Customer can cut the gib shorter to fit the tool slide.

This gib is an easy worn out parts. After years of use the lathe, user needs to replace it with a new gib. Though JFMT had stopped MATE360 lathe many years, we will have source to make this gib for customers in China and over the world.

Despite of replacing a new gib, there is another to get the worn out gib back to work. That is to glue a Tefflon soft belt to the gib. It's an easier way. On the last 4 photos you can see a gib with a dark green 0.5MM Tefflon soft belt on it. Customer can select 0.5MM, 0.7MM, 1MM, 1.2MM, 1.5MM or even thicker soft belt for their old worn out gib. In my shop there are such Soft Belt listing too.

The lathe machines had sales in Japan, Australia, Canada, USA since about 60--70 years ago. 

We have been selling JFMT lathes and lathe parts more than 25 years. Mainly to USA and Canada. The MK series lathes' design are from Japan MAZAK. We have been exporting J1-460, J1-530 lathes to Australia many year. After the lathe stopped production, the parts supply is still available. 

Because the manufacturer has stopped production of this series conventional lathe since 5 years ago. Lathe user is hard to get spare parts from factory's machine dealers. The dealers in USA used to be the following:

For Australian customers JFMT mainly sold J1 series lathes. 

For J1-530 and J1-460 lathes, the only difference with J1MK530 and J1Mk460 lathe is that they have fast travelling Apron. Other about 90% parts are same.

We have parts list. Customer just tells us parts number then we will see if it still available.

We have a list of easy broken parts. Such as spline shaft, headstock gears, change gears, gib, wipers, brake wire, etc. Based on our past 20 years parts supply of this series lathes.
