Avoiding the foreign counterfeited Amphenol PL-259's being sold on EBAY and Amazon is easy; simply buy packaged connectors. The fakes are always offered loose and unpackaged. If a seller advertises new Amphenol connectors with photos of them loose without  packaging, they could be the fakes. The counterfeits simply don't come in Amphenol factory packages. This also applies to reducers. All Amphenol reducers have the word AMPHENOL on them and all Amphenol reducers come in factory packages.
Be certain, always buy packaged Amphenol connectors.

The connectors alone may be used with RG-8, RG-213, Belden 9913, Belden 8214, LMR-400 and others. With the included reducers the connectors may be used with RG-58, RG-141, and LMR-195, LMR-200 and others.
